About Victor Elias Photography

His passion for photography came at an early age when he got his first instamatic 110 camera for christmas. Later in life while traveling in Canada, he started taking special interest in the surrounding nature and architecture and decided it was time to get a ¨real camera¨. He bought his first Nikon while traveling to New York and his hobby then became a revelation and decided it was the perfect way of traveling and sharing his views of the world. 

Started studies in 1989 at the New York Institute of Photography while still traveling thru Canada. And read almost every photography magazine available at the time in search for inspiration and knowledge from the masters of his time. 

Every dollar was spend on film and developing. Thousands of rolls of film were shot before being able to produce consistent results. 1991 was the year he went home to Mexico and started making trips around the country to produce stock and planning to sell it later to magazines and advertising agencies. 

In 1993 decided it was time to pursue photography full time and went on a trip to Cancun where he got his first break in Hotel and Resort Photography. The experience and portfolio gained from this trip open the doors to some very important clients in the industry. Since then he has travel extensively in Mexico, Europe, The Caribbean, United States, Canada and parts of Central America. 

He has worked for some of the most important hotel chains worlwide and many local boutique hotels. His passion for light and forever growing curiosity of this beautiful world that surrounds us has kept him busy and creative.

Changed to full digital studio in 2004 and is always looking what the future might bring.

His photography files contain over 100,000 images from different travel destinations like, Mexico, USA, Canada, Europe, Nature, Architecture and landscapes.
